Our Parents and Carers

We truly value our partnership with parents.  We see the relationship between parents and the school as paramount to developing our children as lifelong learners.

Our key beliefs are as follows:

Parental views are valuable to us

We feel input through school for parents is of value to children and adults alike. Over the past few years we have had the following:

  • Marilyn Brocklehurst  Evening - Supporting Children with Reading
  • E-Safety Evening with the local PCSO
  • Drugs Information Evening
  • Solihull Parenting Course
  • Bears and Books Evening for Reception parents about phonics
  • Writing evening for reception parents
  • Growth Mindset evening
  • KS1 and KS2 SATs Information evenings for parents
  • Boys Achievement workshop for parents

Through Reading, Enterprise and Maths Cafés we can support parents in engaging with their children's learning; sharing an enjoyable experience together.

We always welcome parents who wish to volunteer in our school, whether it is to help on a school trip or come into school to listen to readers.  All volunteers are required to complete a DBS check and undertake safeguarding training.  For any parent who is interested in coming into school to help on a regular basis, we ask that they complete a simple Volunteer Application form and provide 2 references.  If you are interest, please ask at the school office for more information.

Parent Governors - Our parent governors are Mr Proctor and Mrs Cunningham.
