Armistice

9th November 2018
The school remembered Armistice in several different ways this week. We all went to church for a special service led by Reverend Darleen and laid our wreath on the war memorial outside the church.  Several different classes produced some poppy artwork.
The year five children took part in a BBC live lesson about Armistice on Friday afternoon, writing their own haikus based on their feelings and thoughts about the First World War.
The school choir also performed war songs at the local Sainsbury’s supermarket in aid of the poppy
appeal.
